Composed of 6 members, Vince “Encyclopedia” Brown (Lyricist), “K Cooks “(Lead Guitar), Sir Tim (Keys),King Robinson Jr., Jordan Hughes (Percussionists), Matt “Big Kuntry” Curtis (Bass Guitarist) Sore Losers take the experimental approach towards music, combining hip hop elements with an alternative vibe.
Inspired by artists such as Nas, MGMT, Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D., Metronomy, Foo Fighters and Gnarls Barkley Sore Losers best known for their live musical arrangement and lyrical gymnastics have created a sound that is different than any other artist, band or group in the world of rap and hip hop.
Sore Losers have performed at major events across the country such as the ESPN 2011 ESPYS Awards Post Celebration, 2011 SXSW Music Festival, 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and have garnered the attention of industry peers and tastemakers.
After their extremely successful 2009 release of “Free Loaders” EP and recent release of “Get A Life” Mixtape, GRAMMY.com recently debuted the exclusive first listen to Sore Losers new single, “Euthanasia” off their upcoming We Are Sore Losers EP. Their new project is slated to release in early 2012. It will be the Sore Losers first live music recording; with all music composed and arranged by the group. Their journey over the last year was one of perfecting their craft through travels, education and study of various music genres. Their transformation from a group of extremely talented musicians to a band of musical brilliance will dominate the way for the Experimental Hip Hop sound they originated.
